When you come in, please bring the documents that apply to your situation. Most clients bring their photo identification, their Social Security card or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, and their W-2 or 1099 forms from any employer. If you are self-employed, bring a summary of your income and expenses for the year. If you have dependents, bring their identification and any documents that show your relationship to them. If you received any letters from the IRS or the State of Texas, bring those along as well. We can help you claim the credits you are eligible for, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit, and we can answer questions about filing status, dependents and withholding. We review the return with you before it is filed, and we explain the result in plain language.
